About me
My name is María Alejandra Mesa, but you can call me Mamesa. I was born in Montería, Colombia. I studied at the Pontifical Javeriana University in Bogotá where I graduated in Industrial Design and Visual Arts with a graphic emphasis. I have more than 10 years of experience in different creative fields including painting, illustration, muralism, branding, content design for social media, web design, animation, editorial design, textile design and art direction.
My purpose as an artist is to inspire others through my work, encourage creative expression and emotional connection with art. I dream of generating a positive impact on society, offering artistic solutions and creating experiences that awaken the imagination and spirit of those who interact with my creations. Everyone deserves to experience 'art' at their fingertips, in their homes, jobs or even learn how to create it themselves. Let's forget the idea that art is an academic and distant concept, and let's make it our own, an everyday and motivating thing.
